Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Maintenance Foreman to lead landscape maintenance crews and help ensure high-quality service for our residential and commercial properties.
This position is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, hands-on landscape maintenance experience, and the ability to manage crews, communicate with customers, and maintain company standards in the field.
The Maintenance Foreman plays a key role in ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally while supporting team development and customer satisfaction.
Compensation: $22–$26 per hour depending on experience, leadership ability, irrigation knowledge, and overall qualifications. Opportunities for performance bonuses, advancement, and increased compensation based on responsibility and performance.
Prevailing wage rates apply on qualifying public works projects. Overtime opportunities may also be available depending on workload and project scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise landscape maintenance crews on residential and commercial properties.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed according to company quality standards and customer expectations.
- Oversee mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, pruning, irrigation checks, planting, fertilization, and seasonal cleanup tasks.
- Train and support crew members on proper equipment use, safety procedures, and quality workmanship.
- Monitor irrigation systems and identify repairs, leaks, coverage issues, and other maintenance needs.
- Communicate daily job priorities, schedules, and property concerns with crew members and management.
- Inspect jobsites to verify work quality, cleanliness, safety, and completion.
- Identify enhancement opportunities, repairs, upsell opportunities, and potential issues on properties.
- Complete jobsite photos, reports, timesheets, and notes using company software and mobile apps.
- Maintain company vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment in clean and organized condition.
- Communicate professionally with customers and address questions or concerns in the field.
- Ensure crews follow company safety standards, professionalism, and attendance expectations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of landscape maintenance or landscape foreman experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance practices, irrigation systems, plant material, and equipment operation.
- Experience leading or supervising landscape crews.
- Ability to identify landscape and irrigation issues and recommend solutions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Comfortable using mobile apps, photos, texting, and basic technology for reporting and communication.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to lift, walk, bend, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Highly dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
